3 CLASSIC SUNGLASSES FOR EVERY FACE SHAPE
Super skinny sunglasses with polarized frames were all the rage last year– every retailer from high street to luxury was on the trend, and some of us bought into it as well. I honestly cannot tell you now where those frames are, and I am so glad I got them for a great deal on Amazon rather than shelling out on a higher end pair.
Sunglasses are a great finishing piece for an outfit, and they also make for amazing travel accessories when you look like death after a long train, bus, or plane ride. If you’re interested in finding a pair that will suit you no matter your face (I can’t tell if my face is round or diamond to be honest), and which will last in your closet for years to come, then keep on reading.Â
CLASSIC SUNGLASSES FOR EVERY FACE SHAPE
1. OVERSIZED SQUARE FRAME SUNGLASSES
My favorite type of sunglass frame is the oversized square. I think they suit every face shape, and are great to make you look like a very important business person who does not have time for a coffee chat, Kevin.Â
I love them in tortoise shell, in black, and more recently, in 70s inspired browns and nude pinks like I’m wearing. They complement every outfit from boss babe blazer looks to floral maxi dresses. I absolutely love this pair from Rag and Bone which are on sale now for an absolute steal!
2. CAT EYE FRAME SUNGLASSES
Cat eye frames are likely the first ones you think of when you think about classic sunglasses. They look chic and sophisticated in whatever variety you prefer. I generally like a slim, straight edged cat eye frame as it elongates the eyes and lifts the face. It directs the eye upwards, and makes your cheekbones look exactly like Bella Hadid’s, whether your face is round or angular. I love these in a sleek black frame, and these from Asos are perfect if you want to dip your toes in the style.
3. ROUNDED SQUARE FRAME SUNGLASSES
The third best classic style that suits every face shape is the slightly rounded square shape. These might seem a little intimidating at first but they are super easy to wear, and suit a variety of face shapes as long as you get them slightly oversized. I have found that the balance of being not quite angular but also not entirely circular (cue Harry Potter theme song) make these a pair that lend a softness and relaxed look to your face and your outfit. They don’t look too dressed up, but also don’t look quite as quirky as circular frames do, making them perfect for everyday. For this style, I had to go with the Classic Ray Bans that suit every single person who wears them!
