While social distancing with my family and working from home, I have found that putting on a simple look can help me be more productive throughout the day and also just helps me feel better. Not just makeup, but also continuing to keep up my skincare routine has really helped me retain some sense of normalcy in this time. Revlon recently launched a new line of brow products, and the Brow Creator pencil is my favorite of the lot. I am quite partial to a bushy brow moment, and even now when my brows are more shaped than they usually are, I like being able to create the effect of a bushy brow when I go to fill them in. This brow pencil is hard, waxy and pigmented, combining my favorite texture for brow pencils with color payoff that shows up and lasts on my skin. Even if I don’t put on any other makeup, I will usually do a quick swipe through my brows with this product, just because I enjoy using it that much. It has the pencil, a spoolie on the end, and a brow powder so you can create the perfect look for you.
Ever since I first received a product from them in the mail, Amore Pacific has become a brand I love and deeply respect. Their products are all very intentionally produced, very well though out, and very effective. I have been using the Youth Revolution Radiance Concentrate for close to a year now, and loving it the whole time. This Vitamin C serum has a smooth watery texture that goes onto the skin smoothly and absorbs very easily, without leaving your skin tacky. I use it both in the day and in the night and it has been giving my skin a whole lot of glow. I started getting compliments on my skin once I started using it every morning, and I have been slathering it on in quarantine. If you are looking for a good Vitamin C serum, and don’t mind a luxury price tag, I highly recommend this.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation has been my go-to for about three years now. I have talked about it endlessly, so if you are not new here, you already know how much I love it. While working from home, I have been dotting it on like I would a concealer, just to even out my skin tone. The shade 7N is the perfect shade for my skin tone so you can barely even see the foundation on my skin. Given that this is high coverage and matte, I love that it can still look so skin-like. I don’t really want to wear anything that feels heavy or that I can feel sitting on my skin so this has been the perfect base product for me to use everyday.
The Kevyn Aucoin Glass Glow Illuminator is the perfect glossy highlight for healthy looking skin. This product was made for the glass skin makeup technique, and it just makes your skin look fresh and lit from within. The color seems very highly concentrated from the bottle but actually goes on quite sheer/clear, giving you the ultimate glossy finish. I love how it melts into foundation, and paired with the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, it gives me the perfect no makeup makeup look. I cannot say enough good things about this highlight, so definitely check this out if you are on the market for a liquid highlight.
These four beauty products have been my favorites for every day use while quarantined with my family, practicing social distancing. With other steps of my routine, I usually switch through different products, but I reach for these over and over every time I go to put makeup on. I highly recommend them if you’re looking to try some good quality products while you have some downtime.
