YES, BUCKET HATS ARE COOL AGAIN. HERE ARE MY FAVES.
Bucket hats are cool again. Now there’s a sentence I never thought I’d say in my life. I was never a fan of them, as they conjured up the very specific image of a  drunk frat boy attempting to say your name and calling your skin exotic, and somehow tracking you down at the party even though you’d been dodging him all night. You know?
But, Rihanna wore them then Bella Hadid wore them and I found myself thinking, wow bucket hats are so edgy and cool and…stylish. Needless to say, like many other consumers of Instagram fashion content, I have been convinced by the hundreds of cool fashion people wearing them that these 90s throwbacks are the best hat trend we’ve seen so far.Â
If you, like me, are a recent convert to the trend, I suggest going with something simple and plain to start with. You can’t go wrong getting a white nylon  bucket hat as it will go with any outfit– flowing floral dresses or band tees and ripped denim. I went with this lilac quilted one because I knew I had to dive all in and sink my teeth in to enjoy wearing them, and as lilac is apparently my favorite color, I knew I’d love this one.Â
