This dress has been with me a decent amount of time. When I was in my first year of high school, I went to a boarding school btw, I was really out of it a lot; it takes me a while to make friends and open up to people so I was just not feeling settled in most of the time. I went on to have a high school experience I loved, and made the friends for life that you hope to make in boarding school, you know yourselves.

This dress reminds me of one of the first times I felt like I would be alright there. My friend Amanda Olive got me this dress during one of our term breaks, and I remember feeling incredibly touched by that. 

I love this dress, and I wore it as much as I could at school. It’s so flowy and light, but it makes you feel almost regal when you wear it ; like something out of a story book set 200 years ago. 

The pattern on it is almost paisley but not really, and because it’s  asymmetrical lends a very out of place and time feel to the dress. 

I enjoy layering necklaces with it because it just creates the done up but not really, and just going with the flow vibe I like in my clothing decisions.
