Utility Trend: How To Style Vintage Denim Jumpsuits
Jumpsuits in general are a little bit marmite– the people that love them can’t stop talking about them and the people that hate them never want to be around them. I love them; I just might the laziest dresser of a fashion blogger ever so the easier the outfit is, the happier I am. The trend of vintage denim and utility jumpsuits is the newest wave to hit those of us who love this closet staple, and I wanted to share some of my favorites and my tips for styling them for the summer.
The easiest way to style this trend in a way that’s more updated than a simple sneakers outfit, is really leaning into the western roots of the vintage denim jumpsuit. The trend itself is very inspired by American cowboy culture so an outfit like this one where you pair the piece with snakeskin (or cowboy style) boots and a wide brim hat make it look really fresh and just right.
The vintage denim jumpsuit trend doesn’t scream feminine at first glance, but it’s actually quite easy to turn into a more brunch with the girls outfit. I would say pairing it with a simple pair of heels- kitten heels or clear mules- and a bag in a dusty pink fabric or in the ever popular rattan bag style instantly trnaforms it from peak of masculine style into something a lot more feminine.
For everyday wear I would pair the jumpsuit with a simple pair of slides or as pictured with an equally marmite piece- the furry backless loafers. Throw on a crossbody bag, a cute pair of sunnies and be out the door and on your way.
Thanks so much for reading this post. I hope you found some new pieces/ styling ideas for your own closet. Let me know if you decide to try this trend!
