MARCH MONTHLY FAVORITES

Monthly favorites videos are my top Youtube videos to watch. While I currently cannot quite commit to making Youtube videos, I still thought it might be fun to do a monthly favorites series here on my blog. Starting this month (ie for March), I will be putting together roundups of my favorite beauty, fashion, and lifestyle finds in hopes that they can make your life easier too.

I have quite a few beauty favorites this month, but I tried to be ruthless and narrow them down to just two. The first beauty product is the Becca Hydra-Mist Set and Refresh powder in Golden Brown. I reviewed it on my Instagram stories (now saved as a highlight) so you can check that out here. It is a really finely milled powder, and is made with very cool (no pun intended) technology that makes it feel wet on your skin. My skin is naturally dry, and I had resigned myself to the feeling of tightness I got when I used powders. This powder opened my eyes to world of powders that are formulated for dry skin. It’s cooling, blends into the skin without leaving a cast, and has the perfect undertone for my skintone. The powder originally only came in one shade, but has since been expanded to include the Golden Brown shade which is more suitable for medium to deep skin tones. I think my dry skin has finally found its perfect powder partner.

My second beauty favorite is the Glossier lipgloss. Is this a touch pricey for a lipgloss, and for how much product you get? It’s hard to deny that it is. I do know that I just might buy it again regardless. It’s the glossiest gloss I own, it doesn’t feel like a thick coating on your lips, and it’s not sticky when you blot your lips. The packaging is also very minimal, almost mature, in design, which I find aesthetically satisfying. I recommend this if you’re a gloss lover, and feel like you have been on an eternal hunt for the perfect product.

In terms of fashion favorites, this Asos faux shearling jacket has to take the top spot for the month of March. I wore it more times than I can count- even when the weather had warmed up a little too much for it. While it may not look it, this jacket is incredibly warm and I would not advise trying to carry it into 17 degree weather- just in case you give yourself a heat stroke. I love the look the vinyl gives it- it makes the jacket feel very rock and roll in a way that I simply adore. The inner shearling is sturdy- I haven’t experienced any shedding, and the lining goes all the way through the inside of the jacket. If you buy one new jacket for yourself this year, let it be this one.

A lifestyle favorite for March, although I discovered this in April I will still tag it on here, is the Goal Digger podcast by photographer and blogger Jenna Kutcher. I honestly cannot remember how I stumbled on her blog, but I’m so glad I did. This podcast is one of the best ‘influencer tips’ podcasts I have listened to. Her episodes are about thirty minutes long, and she gives practical, useful advice that you can implement immediately to improve your digital marketing or blogging strategy. It helped me come to a place of clarity about how I want to define my brand, and how to create a cohesive brand identity across platforms. I definitely recommend this podcast if you are a blogger, influencer, digital entrepreneur, or if you’re just curious about what goes on in the online space of content creation.

These five things make up my list of monthly favorites for March! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, and definitely leave me a comment if you have tried any of them and how you feel about them. If you’re curious about what I get up to on a day to day basis, follow me on Instagram- I share a lot of my daily life with you guys there.
