Milan Starter Kit
Hi guys!
It’s great to be back! As you can probably tell from the title, I am currently in Milan. I chose to do a semester abroad here, and so far it’s a really nice city. I have seen no black people here, but that’s a conversation for another time.
Before I came, a girl who had also studied abroad in Milan told me that Milanese people only wear black and navy. For the most part, it’s proving true. To be honest, the fashion here is sensory overload. I keep wanting to stop in the street and just look at people.
I thought my first style post of the year would be nice to introduce this new adventure.
Most people I’ve seen start from an all black palette and then incorporate some of their personality. I chose to do that through spiked brogues, and my trusty head wrap.
A touch of purple lipstick (Sangria by Milani) and a minimal necklace paired with another failed pout, and I’m all set for a day of exploring the city.
Currently, I’m more nervous than anything about four months in this foreign place, but I’m also excited for the growth it will induce.
I’ll talk to you all soon☺️
Peace, love, and funk,
Amoafoa.
Good luck, girl. I’ve been to Milan once, it’s a great city! Love your head wrap.
XO

Swaggin’.
Going to Italy is my dream. It’s on my bucket list, man. I’ll do a sem abroad there if ever I get the chance.
I am also going to Milan this semester for study abroad so you won’t be the only black person. What school are you studying at?
I will be at Cattolica. How do you like the vibe of the city? I was hoping to find black people that could do my hair lol
Do you speak Italian? I am learning some Italian currently but I am really only an English speaker with a little French. I have heard there are many English speakers in Milan
