I recently had an indulgent day at the Resense Spa at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra and I’m sharing all of the information you need to book yourself in for a pamper day. *Experience was gifted.
“Inspired by Europe, we have carefully designed every
element to provide you with classical service, a luxurious
atmosphere and an element of surprise. We do not simply
provide treatments, but rather ‘Experiences’ that achieve
your desired result and a little more.”
The Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City recently opened their Resense Spa where you can go in for what they define separately as ‘Definitive Experiences’, ‘Body Experiences’ and ‘Massage Experiences.’ The Body Experiences focus on cleansing and detoxifying the body; the Massage Experiences offer different kinds of massages; and the Definitive experiences combine these in different variations.Â
The spa has wet area with a sauna, a steam room, an ice shower, a pressure shower, and a jacuzzi; a separate space for the Turkish bath and Hammam experiences; and private rooms for massage appointments. Â
Guests are greeted with a drink and a warm towel and ushered into the changing area where you can use the private changing rooms and lockers for your belongings. The decor is all very minimal and earth toned with gold accents which I find quite calming. The marble and dark wood finishes make me think of the feeling that everything is in its right place, and the warm tones make the space very inviting.Â
Right off the changing area, you find the wet area which then leads into the private treatment rooms. I have all the experiences and prices below.
After your treatment, guests are treated to a tea in the private lounge where you can continue to languish in the perfection that is the post-massage feeling.
I got the classic massage and loved it. The massage therapist was very communicative and made sure I was comfortable throughout. The oil blend she used smelled heavenly and left me feeling rich afterwards. The staff at the spa are all very welcoming and sweet, and it’s overall an experience I recommend trying or gifting to a loved one this holiday season. Check below for all experiences offered, prices, opening times, gift packages, and information on booking. Â
Thank you for reading, and I hope you book yourself a treatment soon!
Best,
Amoafoa.

STAYCATION WITH OLMA COLONIAL SUITES About a month before COVID-19 was recognized as a global pandemic and movement restrictions were put in place, I spent a nice little weekend at Olma Colonial Suites. It was a bit of a split between a vacation, or staycation, and a content trip for me. I had a few pieces I wanted to shoot, and Olma Colonial Suites is one of the most photogenic…
My hunt for beautiful decor led me to Concrete Jungle Accra last weekend. Read on for their food and drinks menu, and why I will definitely be going back.
I recently took a day trip to the Royal Senchi Hotel in Akosombo. With travel restrictions lifting, I’m slowly trying to get into leaving the house more, taking all the necessary precautions to do so. I wasn’t quite ready for an overnight stay yet, but this day trip was the perfect way to get used to outside being open again.
