THE BEST SQUARE TOE KITTEN HEELS TO BUY RIGHT NOW
The time we dreaded is here– the early 2000s are back with a bang, and taking over the fashion industry. One of the era’s biggest staples- square toe kitten heels- is back with a vengeance and I honestly quite love it. I am praying we don’t go as far as low rise jeans, but this shoe silhouette is one cut I can get behind.
WHY I LOVE SQUARE TOE KITTEN HEELS
Like a lot of other trends we’ve seen this year, square toe kitten heels are a bit marmite. The people who love them swear by them, and the people who dislike them– well, they really dislike them. For me, this type of heel is perfect for adding a dash of sophistication to any outfit. I find it is especially beautiful paired with a simple white tee and denim outfit or with the bias cut midi skirts we’ve seen this year. They look incredibly effortless, and also will not do the same damage to your feet that a stiletto would. Additionally, the square toed heel is the perfect mature sandal. It screams ‘I am a terribly successful business person and I do not have time to meet for coffee.’ Square toes elevate any heeled sandals, and I find that this shape paired with a kitten heel makes for the perfect shoe to wear to work on an everyday basis, to meetings, or even to casual events where you want to look more dressed up.
I have put together an edit of my favorite square toe kitten heels on the market right now that you can shop directly from this post. These heels are also great to go thrifting for– I found this pair I’m wearing here on a trip to Salvation Army– and I find that thrift stores tend to have them in the more classic colors and fabrics as well. If you are curious to learn a little bit more about how this trend came back this year, do check out this Refinery 29 article where they explain which designers put the 2000s trend back in our stores.
Thanks so much for reading! I hope you find some heels in this shape that you love. You can always hashtag #amoafoa on Instagram if you end up buying and loving something based on my recommendation– I would love to see how you style this shoe trend.
Love,
