What I Wear : Natural Habitat

This is my face everyday. At least usually. Last semester I was really sad because I missed my family and didn’t like my classes and didn’t think I could afford a ticket home, and I was just not myself at all. The good Lord made a way and I was able to go home, and I know He will continue to make a way. 

So basically, I laugh a lot. 

I used to laugh so much because you know how when you’re in an awkward social situation if you just smile a lot people assume you’re really into what they’re saying and so don’t ask you anything? Yup , I invented that mechanism. I would laugh at anything and everything. You graduated? *throws head back* You like my pen *throws head back* You’re in high school…you get the picture.

I laugh a lot now because there is a lot to laugh about. I was talking to my friend Naki last night about how far we’ve come. Three years ago, I would never have imagined I’d have the life I do now, or have the courage to do the things I do now. The change I’ve experienced has been scary but pretty awesome. 

I named this post natural habitat because these clothes are from Urban Outfitters which is basically the best store in the history of ever. I could live in their distressed boyfriend Jeans and culottes and t shirts and oversized coats, if I could afford them, that is. 

There’s something about the worn, ‘I have a story to tell’ feel about their clothes that I enjoy. They’re worn but still worthwhile, like most of us are.
Also, high waist Jeans are the best thing since sliced bread. I have been looking for a good pair everywhere . From random small shops in Adenta to Madina market to the Accra mall, F21 and H&M. I finally found the perfect pair, of course, in UO. I bought them on sale, as always. They cost like $40 or more full price but ain’t nobody got time for that. They were a lot cheaper when I got them although I don’t remember how much. 
I love high waist jeans. They cinch in your waist and makes your legs look long and basically just do everything right. I feel like if you’re about jeans, you should definitely get a pair.
