ARE WHITE CONVERSES

how to wear white sneakers trend

I think it’s safe to say that there is no sneaker type shoe as iconic as white Converses. I prefer the canvas version, although I do know people who swear by the leather ones, and I think they’re the literal most perfect shoe. Maybe not literal but you know what I mean.

I had been wanting a pair for ever and ever and finally got my first ones about two years ago. I started with the high tops because I thought they had more character than the low tops, but eventually wore those so much that I went ahead and got the low tops too. I’ve mentioned before that I kind of went through a mini sneaker loving phase, and got myself a few different pairs, but none of them have had the longevity in my closet that the white converses have. I think my favorite thing about them is that they are not completely blinding white. I think the completely white all over sneakers give a more curated feel to an outfit that I am not always looking for.

The effortless feeling of white converses is why I love them so much. I also love that the dirtier they are, the more street cred they earn. If I can forget to do laundry and still look bomb, that sounds like the ultimate win to me.

My typical style is more classic and I would ordinarily prefer something more tailored but the converses certainly make me feel like I can branch out more. I wear my white converses with everything though. I love them with mini and midi dresses; with tailored trousers, with shorts. I really don’t think there is an outfit they wouldn’t look good with. I also prefer them to most other sneakers on the market because they are more slimming on the foot, and don’t make your feet look wide like the Adidas sneakers tend to. I love the white converse sneakers and I think they are the best first sneaker purchase for anyone looking to dip their toes in the sneakerhead waters.

As always, sending you love and light,

  1. The trackpants + white Converse combo here is so damn cool ahhh. I honestly love seeing white Converse canvas sneakers on other people but I’ll be honest, I get anxiety thinking about the street-cred dirt if I own a pair myself, which is why my Converse sneakers are mostly black! (I’m guilty of telling my best friend to wash her white Converse because they’re so smudged. I have issues, I know.) I definitely want to get a white leather high-top one in the future. For now I’m busy dirtying my white leather Stan Smiths though!

    1. lmaoo I think it definitely does take some intentional ignoring to be able to let your white sneakers get dirty and stay that way. I think for me when they’re white, they’re just a bit too bright. the Stan smiths are great sneakers too!
